Ladybirds are a species of beetles that feed on aphids - small creatures that have found an interesting way to defend themselves from predators. Aphids produce sweet juice that attracts Ants like a drug, they literally get addicted to this liquid and do their best to defend their dealers from harm, which when combined with gecko's imagination produce silly paintings. Stupid junkies.
